WEDDINGS AT NESTOR UMC

So you're thinking about getting married? We have a beautiful historic church for your ceremony and a fellowship center which can be used for your reception.

Getting started is as easy as ABCD...

A. Contact our Church Administrator, Sara Applegate. She may be reached by phone at (619) 423-2068 or by email at church@nestorumc.sdcoxmail.com

You might want to read the wedding policy before contacting her in case you have any questions. She'll check the calendar to see if your desired date is available and discuss fees with you.

B. Set an appointment with Pastor Luis; this is mandatory, even if your ceremony will be by the Family Pastor.

C. Once the date is set, your information will be given to our Wedding Coordinator, Debbie Raysin, who will make initial contact with you. She will also be happy to  meet with you, show you around and discuss your plans and ideas. You can also call or email her with any questions.

D. You will need to pay a security fee about a month before the wedding and meet again at that time to make sure all the details are in place.

We know that this is an exciting time in your lives and that you are looking for "just the right church." We wish you the very best as you make preparations for this next phase of your lives together and pray that your new home will be filled with love and joy where Christ serves as the cornerstone.

Our Sanctuary will seat up to 120 guests comfortably. There are plenty of opportunities for decoration.   Thanks to KH Photography.

Nestor United Methodist Church was built in 1896. We have changed a bit in the last century, but the heart of our church is our sanctuary. It is almost exactly as it was originally built. (We added A/C and heating.)   Thanks to Teresa Vaca for the photo.
