Lead Pastor
I’m Pastor Kim. I came to Christianity through the doors of the 12-step Program. I wanted to learn more about the higher power we talk about. I started at the United Methodist Church on the corner by my house. I was pleasantly surprised that the Higher Power I learned about in A.A. was very similar to the God we worship in Christianity. That Higher Power saved my life, and I have been involved in the church and A.A. ever since.
When my children were grown, I went to seminary and entered the candidacy program to become an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church. I am passionate about how having faith in God and following the teachings of Jesus can transform lives because it transformed mine, and I am grateful.

Office Assistant
I'm Jeniffer Alvarez, and as an office assistant at Nestor United Methodist Church, I am passionate about utilizing my creativity and organizational skills to support the lead pastor and assist with any needs that arise. I am driven by the opportunity to create value, build strong relationships, and contribute to the success of our community.

Nestor UMC operates under the simple board model. This group of dedicated volunteers does the work of Trustees, Finance, and SPRC (Human Relations).
